• Qualifications : Graduate in any discipline with total experience of the candidate should be at least 20 (Twenty) years in Railways of which at least 7 (Seven) years must be in a Senior Management Level /Senior Administrative Grade. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in managing the affairs of SPVs/Companies/JVs on PPP mode concerned with the following functions in Railway i.e. Railway Planning and Construction, Financing, Marketing and Commercial, and Operation & Maintenance.
• Age Limit : 57 Years.
• Pay Scale : The remuneration (Salary, allowances and perquisites) of the MD will be same as that of a Director of Schedule ‘A’ Company

An examination for selection of candidates for appointment as Special Class Apprentices in Mechanical Department of Indian Railways will be held by the Union Public Service Commission on 31st July, 2011 in accordance with the Rules published by the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) in the Gazette of India dated the 26th March, 2011
Eligibility Conditions : -

• Qualification : Must have passed in the first or second division, the Intermediate or an equivalent Examination of a University or Board approved by the Government of India with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination
