Union Public Service Commission, UPSC, Applications in the prescribed forms are invited for direct recruitment to the following posts by 28th April, 2011 (05th May, 2011 in respect of applications received only BY POST from the candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, J&K, Lahaul & Spiti District and Pangi Sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, A & N Islands or Lakshadweep or abroad).

I. Principal :
No of post : 01 post in NDA, Ministry of Defence. Post are permanent.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree with at least fifty-five percent of the marks or its equivalent grade. Total experience of fifteen years of teaching or research in Universities or Colleges and other institutions of higher education.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 37400 to 67000 + Academic Grade pay Rs. 10000 + Special Allowance of Rs. 2000/- Per Month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 50 years.

II. Superintendent (Legal) :
No of post : 03 posts in D/o Legal Affairs, M/o Law and Justice. Post are permanent.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Law of a recognized University or equivalent. Should have four years’ experience as an officer of the State Judicial Service, OR Should have four years’ experience in the Legal Department of a State.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 + Academic Grade pay Rs. 4800/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years.

III. Deputy Director (Chemical) :
No of post : 02 posts in M/o Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises. Post are permanent.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s degree in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry / Degree in Chemical Technology or Chemical Engineering from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent. Five years’ experience in a supervisory / managerial capacity in a technical organization or Industrial concern in Drug Pharmaceutical, Fine Chemical, Matches, Rubber and plastics or other allied trades.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Academic Grade pay Rs. 6600 + Special Allowance of Rs. 2000/- Per Month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 40 years.

IV. Vice Principal :
No of post : 01 post in NDA, M/o Defence. Post are permanent.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree with at least fifty-five percent of the marks or its equivalent grade. Total experience of ten years’ of teaching or research in Universities / Colleges and other institutions of higher education.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 37400 to 67000 + Academic Grade pay Rs. 1000/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 50 years.

V. Plant Protection Officer (Plant Pathology) :
No of post : 14 posts, M/o Agriculture. Post Post are permanent.
Essential Qualification & Experience : M.Sc Degree in Plant Pathology or M.Sc Degree in Agriculture with specialization in Plant Pathology or M.SC Degree in Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology from a recognized University or equivalent. Two years’ experience in Plant Protection work.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 + Academic Grade pay Rs. 4600/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years.

VI. Service Engineer (Mechanical) :
No of post : 01 post, FSI, M/o Agriculture. Post are permanent.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent. Three years’ experience in maintenance, repairs and running of Marine Diesel Engines / Ship repairs and maintenance.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Academic Grade pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years.
