ONGC needs some young and energetic persons for following posts of A-1 & A-2 level on regular basis. For this, applications are being invited from Indian Citizens for recruitment on the 150 vacant posts of A-1 and A-2 Level. Details of A-2 Level posts (Pay Scale of Rs. 12,000-27,000/-):
01. Technical Assistant GD.III (Chemistry)
Total no. of vacant posts: 13 (Gen-01, OBC-10, ST-02)
Essential Educational Qualification: PG Degree in Chemistry
02. Draftsman GD.III (Civil)
No. of vacancy: 25 (UR-09, OBC-04, SC-01, ST-02) SC-02, ST-07 (under SRD)
Essential qualification: Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering.
03. Assistant Technician (Electrical)
No. of posts: 04 (Gen-02 and SC-01, ST-01 for under SRD)
Required minimum qualification: Three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering and having Certificate of competency as Electrical Supervisor.
04. Assistant Technician (Instt.)
No. of posts: 02 (01 for OBC and 01 for ST)
Needed qualification: Three years Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering.
05. Assistant Technician (Fitting)
Total no. of vacant posts: 06 (05 for UR and 01 for OBC)
Educational qualification: 03 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
06. Assistant GD.III (Transport)
No. of posts: 06 (Gen-03, OBC-01, SC-01 and ST-01)
Qualification: 03 years Diploma in Auto or Mechanical Engineering / PG Diploma in Business Management or Administration / Post Graduate and must have Vehicle Driving Licence.
07. Security Supervisor
Total no. of vacant posts: 12 (UR-08, OBC-03 and ST-01)
Educational qualification: Bachelor Degree with 01 year of Training experience in Security.
08. Assistant GD.III (MM)
No. of posts: 02 (01 for SC and 01 for ST)
Required qualification: 03 years Diploma in relevant subject.
Details of A-1 Level posts (Pay Scale: Rs. 11000-24000/-):
09. Jr. Assistant Technician (Cementing)
Total no. of posts: 03 for ST
Minimum qualification: 10th standard pass with Science and Trade Certificate in Auto / Fitting /Mechanic Trade and must have valid heavy vehicle driving licence.
10. Jr. Technical Assistant (Chemistry)
Total no. of vacancies: 03 (01-SC, 02-ST)
Educational qualification: Bachelor Degree in Science with Chemistry as main subject.
11. Jr. Technical Assistant (Geology)
No. of posts: 02 (SC-01, ST-01)
Needed qualification: Graduate in Science with Geology as main subject.
12. Jr. Assistant Technician (Diesel)
Vacancy: 05 (SC-02 and ST-03)
Qualification: 10th pass with Science and Trade Certificate in Diesel Mechanic.
13. Jr. Assistant Technician (Fitting)
Vacancy: 06 (OBC-01, SC-01 and ST-04)
Qualification: 10th pass with Science and Trade Certificate in Fitting.
14. Jr. Assistant Technician (Machining)

Qualification: Matric with Science and Trade Certificate in Machining.
15. Jr. Assistant Technician (Welding)
Vacancy: 17 (Gen-07, OBC-04, SC-01 and ST-05)
Required qualification: 10th pass with Science and Trade Certificate in welding.
16. Jr. Assistant Technician (Production)
No. of posts: 06 for OBC
Qualification: Matric with Science and Trade Certificate in Fitting or Mechanic Trades.
17. Jr. Assistant Technician (Electrical)
No. of posts: 09 (OBC-03, SC-01 and ST-05)
Needed qualification: 10th pass with Science and Trade certificate in Electrical and must have Certificate of Competency as Electrical Supervisor.
18. Jr. Security Supervisor
Total no. of vacant posts: 13 (UR-08, OBC-02, ST-03)
Qualification: Intermediate with 06 months of Training / Experience in Security.
19. Jr. Fire Supervisor
No. of posts: 06 (UR-05 and OBC-01)
Qualification: Intermediate with 06 months of experience in Fire Services.
Age limit for A-1 and A-2 Level posts: between 18 years and 30 years (as on 15th October 2011)
Age relaxation in upper limit of age will be given to OBC by 03 years and SC/ST by 05 years.
Application Fees: Rs. 200/- for Gen and OBC and Rs. 50/- for SC/ST/EXS/PWD candidates.
