- Qualifications : Bachelor degree in Ayurveda from recognized University or Council of Indian System of Medicine established by Law or from an Ayurvedic College recognized by the Government.Post Graduate degree in Dravyaguna Specialty from any recognized University established by Law and recognized by CCIM or H.P. Government.
- Desirable : Knowledge of customs, manner, dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

- Age Limit : Not less than 21 years and not more than 65 years.
- Pay Scale : Rs.10300+4400+ DA @58%=23226/- per month.
